How can an art form that originates in one culture be understood and assimilated in other cultures? In this course, we will explore the originally Japanese Butoh dance through the lens of anthropophagic Brazilian Culture in order to express what could be contemporary Butoh Dance. 

Taking foundational points of the Butoh Dance by Tatsumi Hijikata, we will research analogies in Brazilian Art and Culture to develop training, rehearsal and performance methodologies for this hybrid and intercultural dance.

The participants will be invited to collaborate with their personal art techniques, cultural influences and mythology to devour and digest the Japanese Butoh Dance in a hybrid process of their own butoh expression.

Will Lopes is a Brazilian Butoh dancer, actor, performer and director with 21 years of experience. Since 2018, he is based in Vienna and has been studying Butoh Dance with Atsushi Takenouchi at the Jinen Butoh School in Italy and other places in Europe. 

Bachelor in Theater at the University of Brasilia in 2003, studied theatre, dance, dance-theatre, dramatic body mime, Butoh, circus, Martial Arts, and vertical dance. Physical trainer of performers specialized in the Brazilian technique Integral Bambu. Master degree in Communication and Semiotics at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo in 2016. 

In his artistic works, he is specialized in the development of site-specific performances in the urban architecture of the city. He studied Brazilian popular culture with Antônio Nóbrega, Sei Tai Ho with Toshi Tanaka and cultural anthropological conceptions of the human body at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo.

How can an art form that originates in one culture be understood and assimilated in other cultures? In this course, we will explore the originally Japanese Butoh dance through the lens of anthropophagic Brazilian Culture in order to express what could be contemporary Butoh Dance. 

Taking foundational points of the Butoh Dance by Tatsumi Hijikata, we will research analogies in Brazilian Art and Culture to develop training, rehearsal and performance methodologies for this hybrid and intercultural dance.

The participants will be invited to collaborate with their personal art techniques, cultural influences and mythology to devour and digest the Japanese Butoh Dance in a hybrid process of their own butoh expression.

Bachelor in Theater at the University of Brasilia in 2003, studied theatre, dance, dance-theatre, dramatic body mime, Butoh, circus, Martial Arts, and vertical dance. Physical trainer of performers specialized in the Brazilian technique Integral Bambu. Master degree in Communication and Semiotics at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo in 2016.

Ihre Darsteller*innen sind Menschen von heute, deren Erlebniswelt sich zwischen komplexen Familienkonstellationen und Casting-Shows, zwischen Freude und Trauer, Gier und Lust abspielt. In einem multidimensionalen Kosmos aus Klang, Licht, Tanz und Design lässt Mei Hong Lin ihre Tänzer*innen das Rad des Schicksals drehen und entfesselt ein sinnliches Spektakel um das Drama des Menschen und seinen Lebenskampf zwischen Angst und Hoffnung.

WINTERTANZTAGE 2020

Zum Jahresstart lädt die RedSapata Tanzfabrik in der Tabakfabrik Linz vom 3. bis 6. Jänner 2020 zu den Wintertanztagen ein, um voller Energie ins neue Jahr zu starten. Denn Tanz vitalisiert, aktiviert, regeneriert, inspiriert und trägt bedeutend zu einem gesünderen Leben bei. Tanzen macht nachweislich glücklich, und gleichzeitig wird das Gedächtnis trainiert und gefordert.

Bei den Wintertanztagen 2020 werden diverse Ansätze aus Tanz an der Schnittstelle zu Körpertrainingsmethoden, die mit „Mindfulness“ arbeiten, sowie Tanz für Fitness, Kraft und Ausdruck angeboten. Altbewährtes, Aktuelles und Trendiges treffen sich an diesem Wochenende für ein tiefes Eintauchen in die Welt des Tanzes.

Tanzen kennt kein Geschlecht, kein Alter, keine Nationalität. Deswegen richten sich die Wintertanztage 2020 an Jung und Alt, an Reisende, Suchende und Findende, an solche, die sich austoben möchten und solche, die Neues zu entdecken wagen.

Getanzt wird im Bau 3 der Tabakfabrik Linz auf über 600 Quadratmetern im Studio der RedSapata Tanzfabrik.

• CONTEMPORARY BALLET

In diesem Workshop werden klassisches Ballett und zeitgenössischer Tanz kombiniert. Dabei soll neben Grundbegriffen des Balletts vor allem ein bewusster und ökonomischer Umgang mit dem eigenen Körper vermittelt werden. Dazu gehören Kraft, Dehnung, Flexibilität, Koordination und Balance, die neben klassischen Übungen in einer raumgreifenden Choreografie trainiert werden.

Open Floor Workshop

Wenn wir überflutet von Eindrücken sind, neigen wir dazu, uns von bestimmten Empfindungen, Gefühlen, Bildern abzuschneiden. Wir distanzieren uns, damit wir nicht fühlen oder sehen müssen, was wir nicht handhaben können. Dies ist eine psychologische Überlebensstrategie, die wir schon in jungen Jahren entwickeln, um zu überleben. Alchemy of the Circle bringt Dich zurück in deine Essenz. Es wird Dich an Deine Lebensfragen erinnern. Was willst du? Was ist Deine Vision für Dein Leben? Was ist dein tiefster Herzenswunsch? Was machst du, um diese Vision in Form zu bringen? Was ist Deine Seelenaufgabe?

Wir öffnen unsere Aufmerksamkeit indem wir in Sitzen, Gehen und Tanzen. Wir schaffen einen heiligen Ort, an dem wir mit dem, was ist, „einfach sein“ und uns durch alles bewegen können – physisch, emotional, mental und spirituell. Wir lernen mehr und mehr echt und ganz zu werden, unsere Möglichkeiten auszudehnen. Alle sind willkommen mit ihrer eigenen Körpersprache, mit ihren Gefühlen und ihren Geschichten

Was ist Open Floor?

Open Floor Movement Practice entspringt der Tradition verschiedener Tanz-, Bewegungs- und Therapiemethoden und ist verwandt mit 5Rhythmen, Soul Motion, Movement Medicine oder Azul. Drei der Gründerinnen (Andrea Juhan, Kathy Altman, Lori Salzman) arbeiteten während Jahrzehnten sehr eng mit Gabrielle Roth, der Gründerin von 5 Rhythmen zusammen. In dieser Zeit entwickelte jede von ihnen ihre eigene Art der verkörperten Bewegungspraxis, die aus verschiedenen Quellen der Spiritualität, der Gestalt-Awareness, der somatischen Psychotherapie und ebenso aus ihrer eigenen Kreativität inspiriert wurde.

• CONTEMPORARY BASICS

Contemporary Dance ist charakterisiert durch seinen Bewegungsfluss und die Leichtigkeit der Bewegung. In diesem Workshop steht das Spiel mit Gegensätzen (z.B. langsam – schnell, weit – eng, anspannen – loslassen, Up – Down) und das Spiel mit der Schwerkraft im Vordergrund, wobei ein besonderer Fokus auf den Wechsel von kraftvollen und fließenden Bewegungen gelegt wird. Wir bewegen uns auf allen Ebenen (vom Stehen bis zum Boden) und erproben verschiedene Qualitäten unserer Bewegung.

Diverse Urban Styles werden von einem der aufstrebendsten Künstler unterrichtet. Der Workshop konzentriert sich auf die Grundlagen von diversen urbanen Tanzstilen wie House, Breaking, Popping und Locking. Mittels der Basics wird der Fokus auf die Musik gesetzt. Bewegungskonzepte werden ausgearbeitet, um sich erweitern zu können.

• QI GONG, PILATES & MERIDIANARBEIT

Claudia Kreiner und Doris Jungbauer haben sich einem speziellen Programm gewidmet und Qi Gong und Pilates miteinander verknüpft. Durch die Meridianverläufe (TCM Prinzip) im Körper ergeben sich genaue Bewegungsfolgen im Qi Gong und auch im Muskeltraining wird darauf geachtet werden.

In diesem Workshop wird dazu einladen, sich auf das kinetische Know-How des eigenen Körpers einzulassen und dessen Physikalität als auch Sensitivität und Fähigkeit zur Imagination zu trainieren. Dazu gehört insbesondere das Erforschen von Logiken der eigenen Anatomie, die Stärkung muskulärer wie gedanklicher Verbindungen sowie Techniken zur bewussten Steuerung und Differenzierung von Bewegungsualitäten, Präsenz und Bewusstheit. • FASZIEN.IMTANZ® – POWER-SMOOTHIE

FASZIEN.ImTANZ® ist ein Konzept der Körperarbeit für eine nachhaltige Bewegungsbildung. Ausgangspunkt meiner Arbeit sind anatomische Kenntnisse und Wissen über die Eigenschaften der Faszien. Der Weg erfolgt über die Schulung der Körpertiefenwahrnehmung und tanzende Exploration. Langfristiges Ziel sind die Ökonomie der Bewegung, die sich in Tanz und Alltag integriert und ein Empfinden von Ganzheit = Verbundenheit und Präsenz.

In diesem Workshop fokussieren wir uns auf den Aufbau der inneren Spannkraft. Wir nutzen Druck und Schub in unterschiedlichen Varianten und entdecken dabei sowohl die Spannkraft der funktionalen, faszialen Zuglinien, als auch das notwendige Release in den Gelenken. Abschließend lernst du eine kompakte Abfolge, die du als dein persönliches Power-Smoothie im Alltag nutzen kannst.

Und dieser einzige Moment reicht aus, um Dir ein einzigartiges Gefühl von Freiheit, Freude, Wahrhaftigkeit und Ganzheit zu schenken. In diesem Moment kannst Du Dein Inneres nach außen tanzen. Nichts planen, nichts müssen, einfach Du selbst sein. In völliger Hingabe sein. Du wirst frei und natürlich. Du tanzt – Kein Richtig Kein Falsch.

In diesem Workshop lernen wir unsere Anatomie besser kennen- und biodynamisch für organische Bewegungsabläufe zu nutzen. Mit Hilfe des Atems, der Form der Spirale und des Kreises finden wir neue Bewegungsfreiheit, Sprungkraft, Elastizität, Stabilität und Momentum. All dies wenden wir in musikalischen Tanzsequenzen an und üben darin Bewegung mit Freude und Strahlkraft.
